Marriott International and Fametro Group, in partnership with Hamam Global, are about to rewrite the history of the iconic Tropical Hotel Amazônia. Located in Manaus, the hotel, which was once one of the most luxurious in the region, is being completely restored and reopened under the banner of the Tribute Portfolio Hotel, part of the Marriott portfolio.
Under the command of architect Marília Pelegrini, Hamam Global took on the responsibility of turning this dream into reality. With a keen eye for detail and a deep respect for the site’s history, the Hamam Global team is working tirelessly to deliver a project that preserves the soul of the Tropical Hotel Amazônia and, at the same time, offers guests a contemporary and sophisticated experience.
Restoring the hotel is a real challenge, both because of its magnitude and the logistics involved. The privileged location on the banks of the Rio Negro, which on the one hand guarantees breathtaking views, on the other requires creative solutions for the logistic(s) of the work (challenges). However, Hamam Global, with its expertise in complex projects, is overcoming all obstacles and ensuring that the project is delivered on time and to the highest quality.
The result will be a hotel with 580 rooms, all decorated with elements reminiscent of the Amazon’s rich biodiversity. Fabrics, furniture and design objects inspired by the forest will make guests feel immersed in the local culture. The colors green and ochre, characteristic of the region, will be present in all the rooms, creating a welcoming and sophisticated atmosphere.
The inauguration of the Tropical Hotel Amazônia is scheduled for the end of 2024 and promises to be a milestone for the Amazonian hotel (hospitality) industry. Hamam Global, with its passion for special projects and its ability to turn dreams into reality, is proud to be part of this story.
